Shadik Sobhan, the founder of Lalcode, is no longer with us. He was fighting cancer for two years and left the world on July 8th. Lalcode used to provide services like graphics design, logo design and website for startups. He also had a brand named Lalhost, where he used to offer domain and hosting plans at a cheap rate. He provided extraordinary support to his customers, and all of us loved it.
“If I somehow survive this journey, I’ll start an organization that’ll stand beside the poor fighting cancer.”
Shadik was the eldest of three siblings. He passed HSC from Notre Dame College and was about to complete his graduation from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology. I last met him in Tata Medical Center at Kolkata while he was in the last stage of his cancer. Though he was sick, he seemed pretty happy when I went to meet him. We had a chat for about 3 hours, where we discussed his sickness and innovative ideas. If you are into startups, he was a blast to talk. I wanted to include his last wish that he told me in this article. If Shadik lived, he must’ve done something great for the industry. May his soul rest in peace.
